The Accounting Specialist position is onsite in Roseburg, OR, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $45,765–$51,485 per year. Umpqua Health is a community-driven Coordinated Care Organization serving Douglas County, Oregon, through integrated care and care coordination. The specialist supports company accounting processes by maintaining records, preparing entries and reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The work helps the Finance Department maintain accurate financial information and support organizational operations.

What you'll do

• Coordinate accounts payable invoice approvals and participate in weekly payments
• distribute financial mail and documentation under internal controls
• review and reconcile general ledger entries
• respond to expense, budget, and reporting inquiries
• reconcile inventory
• track fixed assets and report personal property
• prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses
• support payroll functions
• assist with financial statements and monthly and year-end reporting
• maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and regulations.

Why this role

Requires understanding of GAAP and accounting systems, basic payroll experience, advanced Excel skills, and at least one year of related experience. A valid driver’s license and insurable driving status are required. Three or more years of accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent are preferred.
