Food Service Worker

Job overview

The Food Service Worker role is onsite at the military dining facility in Lompoc, CA. The starting rate is $17.88 per hour. The position supports the dining facility’s mission by serving meals safely and efficiently to military personnel, staff, and guests. The worker prepares and portions food, maintains food safety and sanitation practices, sets up and restocks service areas, serves customers, and cleans kitchen and dining spaces. The schedule includes Monday through Friday, weekends, and variable hours; evenings, nights, and holidays may also be required.

What you'll do

• Prepare and portion food
• complete temperature checks and production logs
• set up and restock food counters and dining areas
• serve cafeteria-style meals
• prepare beverages
• clean and sanitize dining and kitchen areas and equipment
• wash dishes
• dispose of waste
• follow safety and sanitation standards.
