Job overview
The Cold Rolling Mill Operator role is onsite in Bowling Green, KY, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. BILSTEIN’s Bowling Green facility manufactures tailor-made steel grades for the automotive, saw, and tooling industries. Working with the Cold Rolling Team Leader, the operator runs and monitors cold rolling and temper mill operations to produce steel coils with specified thickness and surface finishes. The work supports quality requirements and prepares material for annealing, slitting, or customer delivery.
What you'll do
- Read production schedules and work orders
- position and move steel coils
- monitor thickness, shape, and pinhole measurements
- adjust mill controls
- inspect and test finished coils
- maintain equipment
- band and identify coils
- report maintenance needs
- train and assist other workers
- coordinate with annealing and roll shop departments.
