• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
• assess physical and psychosocial needs
• develop care plans with the healthcare team
• monitor maternal and fetal status and recognize complications
• manage obstetric emergencies
• assist with cesarean procedures as required
• support labor pain management and epidural placement
• educate patients and families
• document care
• complete safety and quality activities
• supervise and delegate care within scope.
