What you'll do

• Plot distribution-system features using GPS and submit data for GIS mapping
• sketch water mains and service lines and provide location details
• review revised maps and recommend corrections
• gather maps, plats, and easements for replacement projects
• review plans and recommend changes
• inspect water main replacement work and record installed features
• coordinate with developers, contractors, engineers, and property owners
• explain construction specifications
• submit excavation permit applications
• respond to utility-location inquiries
• forward damage information for billing.
