The Medical Assistant role is an onsite, full-time position in Monroe, LA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $14.73–$20.28 per hour. The role supports clinical operations and patient care for Pro Med Healthcare Services. The assistant provides patient-facing clinical and administrative support under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. The role contributes to safe, compliant care through patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, records, and clinic operations.

What you'll do

• Interview patients
• measure vital signs and record information in charts
• draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens
• conduct diagnostic tests
• assist providers and clinical staff
• perform front- and back-office duties including phones, scheduling, data entry, and filing
• manage supplies and compliance logs
• maintain clean clinical areas
• follow infection-control, quality, and HIPAA requirements
• support patient education and emergency response within scope.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree in medical assisting, graduation from an accredited vocational medical assistant program, or current unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant certification; current Basic Life Support certification; and at least three years of relevant clinical experience. A valid driver's license and willingness to drive between work locations are required.
