Lead Audiovisual Technician

Job overview

The Lead Audiovisual Technician role is onsite in Washington, DC, with pay of $36–$40 per hour. Waveguide provides audiovisual, information technology, and acoustics design and operations services, including on-site technology support for client meetings and events. The lead oversees daily audiovisual systems and support for executive, educational, and routine meetings in a conference center environment. The role maintains reliable equipment and videoconference operations, resolves technical issues, and helps end users use presentation technology effectively.

What you'll do

• Oversee testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and teardown of audiovisual and videoconference equipment
• provide technical assistance
• prepare monthly room usage, action item, maintenance, and preventive maintenance reports
• maintain trouble-ticket and issue-resolution processes
• set up and troubleshoot videoconferences
• train end users
• maintain conference room integrity and perform preventive maintenance checks
• escalate non-AV issues to the appropriate department.
