The Job Developer role is an onsite, full-time position based in Westbury, NY, with travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Pay is $24.00 per hour. Community Mainstreaming Associates supports people with developmental disabilities in pursuing fulfilling, independent lives and community inclusion. The role helps participants identify and pursue employment aligned with their skills, interests, strengths, and goals. It builds employer and community partnerships, supports job-search activities and workplace transitions, and tracks progress so participants can work toward employment and greater independence.

What you'll do

• Assess participants’ employment readiness, skills, interests, strengths, and goals
• develop relationships with employers, public agencies, community organizations, and partners
• generate job leads through outreach, postings, networking, and position research
• assist with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and networking
• coach participants during the employment process and provide ongoing support after placement
• communicate with employers about placements and workplace concerns
• act as liaison among participants, employers, families, and support teams
• document participant progress, outcomes, job-development activities, and employer feedback
• participate in team meetings and training.

Why this role
