Water Mitigation Technician

The Water Mitigation Technician is an onsite, full-time position in Arlington, VA, with pay of $18–$24 per hour. The role supports a client described as a national disaster recovery and property restoration leader, helping restore residential and commercial properties after water damage. The technician assesses and mitigates water damage by extracting water, drying structures, and assisting with restoration work that meets industry standards. The position requires IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician certification and restoration or mitigation experience; after-hours, weekend, and travel assignments may be needed.

What you'll do

• Respond to emergency water damage calls
• follow team leader and supervisor directions
• follow safety procedures
• inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment
• operate water extraction tools under supervision
• help set up containment zones
• apply disinfectants and remove debris safely
• assist with moisture detection and drying systems
• document job activities, time, and equipment use
• participate in after-hours, weekend, and travel assignments as needed
• meet IICRC and company quality standards.
