Wound Care Nurse (RN) — Weekend

The Wound Care Nurse (RN) role is onsite in Daytona Beach, FL, and is limited to weekends. Compensation is not specified. The nurse works with the interdisciplinary team at Coastal Health & Rehabilitation Center to support residents’ wound healing and care outcomes. The role assesses and manages wounds, develops and updates treatment plans, monitors healing and complications, documents care, and educates residents, families, caregivers, and staff to support safe, coordinated wound management.

What you'll do

• Maintain care plans for skin impairments
• conduct weekly wound rounds with the wound consultant
• measure and document wounds weekly
• monitor new pressure-related skin openings and determine root causes
• assess and manage surgical, arterial, venous, and other complex wounds
• document treatments and follow-up
• educate residents, families, and caregivers
• demonstrate wound care techniques to caregivers
• communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
