School-Age Teacher

Job overview

The School-Age Teacher role is onsite in Ashburn, VA, with compensation of $16.66–$19.66 per hour. Cadence Education supports children and families through research-based curriculum in warm, home-like learning environments. The teacher supports daily classroom operations and curriculum delivery, helping provide a safe, nurturing environment for children’s physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs. The role works with the School Director and Lead Teacher, supports family relationships, and follows safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support an inclusive classroom
• greet children and families
• assist with individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavioral plans as directed
• support the Lead Teacher with curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership
• follow safety and supervision procedures and document incidents
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.
