Start and Check Technician – Residential HVAC

Job overview

The Start and Check Technician role is onsite at residential construction sites in Temple Hills, MD. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. The position supports HVAC system startup and commissioning for new residential construction.

What you'll do

• Start up and commission HVAC systems
• complete low-voltage wiring and configure thermostats and controls
• install HVAC accessories and verify operation
• evacuate refrigerant lines and charge systems to manufacturer specifications
• perform inspections and commissioning tests
• review equipment requirements and basic plans
• troubleshoot startup issues
• communicate deficiencies and system status to construction personnel
• maintain a safe, organized work area.
