General Service Automotive Technician

Job overview

The General Service Automotive Technician role is onsite in Spartanburg, SC. Compensation is $35,000–$50,000 per year. The locally owned and operated Midas service center provides vehicle maintenance and repair services. The technician performs routine maintenance and inspections that help keep customer vehicles safe and operating properly. The role also supports shop upkeep and may assist with more advanced repairs under the guidance of an experienced technician as skills develop.

What you'll do

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and visual safety and courtesy inspections
• mount, balance, and rotate tires
• perform wheel alignments and basic disc brake repairs
• replace batteries
• maintain and clean shop areas
• complete other shop maintenance as needed
• may assist with advanced repairs under an experienced technician’s guidance.
