Digital Publishing Support Specialist

The Digital Publishing Support Specialist role is hybrid in Washington, DC, with two onsite days per week and a Monday–Friday schedule of 8:00 or 9:00 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM, 40 hours weekly. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. The position supports the Scientific Publications and Guidelines division and its peer-reviewed medical journals. The specialist coordinates recurring digital publishing operations, communications, and materials across editorial, web, journal management, and external partner teams. The work helps keep journal content accurate, publishing schedules current, and time-sensitive communications and projects on track.

What you'll do

• Coordinate digital newsletters and subscriber communications
• maintain journal publishing calendars and schedules
• update publishing, marketing, advertising, and tracking materials
• prepare email communications and sponsored-content samples
• verify article-level information with editorial staff
• maintain procedures and documentation
• review journal websites for updates
• assist with digital publishing platforms and operational processes
• coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to meet deadlines.
