Part-Time Cook

The Part-Time Cook role is onsite at Saint John Fisher University in Rochester, NY, with compensation of $17–$19 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cook supports campus food service through Chartwells Higher Ed. The cook prepares food to established recipes and standards, serves meals or prepares them for delivery, and maintains safe, clean kitchen and storage areas. These duties help ensure consistent food quality, proper handling, and timely service.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and service schedules
• serve meals or prepare them for delivery with correct portions and temperatures
• follow ticket collection procedures and maintain service records
• clean the kitchen and store or discard excess food safely
• maintain refrigerators and storerooms
• operate and maintain kitchen equipment
• assist with production planning, records, ordering, and receiving
• report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents
• attend safety meetings
• follow HACCP and company safety procedures.
