ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist at Physicians Care in Soddy Daisy, TN. This is a full-time, onsite position with a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, including every-other weekend shifts. Compensation is not specified. This role performs x-ray testing, operates diagnostic equipment, and assists with Medical Assistant duties to support patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

What you'll do

• Promptly greets patients.
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times.
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures.
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information.
• Assists with patient transfers.
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
• Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.

What we're looking for

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License. ARRT Certification and Medical Assistant experience preferred.
