Mitigation Technician

Job overview

The Mitigation Technician role is onsite in San Diego, CA, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. A1 Restoration supports homeowners and businesses after water, fire, mold, and other environmental losses. The technician assesses damaged properties, performs mitigation work, and documents services to company and industry standards. The role contributes to safe, efficient restoration through water extraction, structural drying, equipment monitoring, cleanup, and communication with clients and project teams.

What you'll do

• Assess damaged properties and identify mitigation needs
• perform water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, demolition, and moisture mapping
• assist with mold remediation and fire or smoke cleanup
• document photos, moisture readings, job notes, and materials
• set up and monitor restoration equipment
• follow safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements
• communicate with clients
• participate in rotating on-call shifts, including nights and weekends
• respond to emergency calls
• maintain vehicle cleanliness.
