The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Laurel, MD; pay is $19–$24 per hour. The Goddard School of The Maple Lawn, MD provides an educational experience intended to help children become confident learners. The assistant supports the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate learning activities and maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom. The role contributes to children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through supervision, individualized support, and positive interactions.

What you'll do

• Assist the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans
• support children’s development through engagement and positive interactions
• prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment
• supervise and provide individualized support
• communicate with families about children’s progress and daily activities
• follow health, safety, and licensing requirements
• support daily care routines.
