Instructional/Lay Teacher

The Instructional/Lay Teacher role is onsite in Gainesville, TX, with compensation of $16–$20 per hour. The teacher supports the Catholic school’s mission and the Diocese of Fort Worth’s mission of the Church.

• manage classroom behavior with positive, consistent discipline
• communicate with parents about academic, behavioral, or safety concerns
• collaborate with peers
• respond to individual learning needs
• and teach according to the school schedule.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree and meeting the Diocese and TCCB ED minimum teaching-field requirements are preferred. The role requires some nights and weekends; infrequent travel by car to Diocese parishes or schools may be required.
