The part-time Paralegal role is onsite in Binghamton, NY. Pay is $27.45–$31.27 per hour. The Legal Aid Society of Mid New York’s Foreclosure Prevention Project represents homeowners facing mortgage and tax foreclosure.

What you'll do

• Communicate with clients by phone and in person
• screen and interview homeowners facing foreclosure
• assess case status and prepare summaries
• explain the foreclosure process and triage cases for attorney assignment
• track cases and report status
• complete loss mitigation applications as directed
• assist with case preparation, document review, research, investigation, and trial preparation
• maintain case records, statistics, and grant-reporting information. Occasional travel may be required.
