The Personal Support Specialist (PSS), Penobscot County role is in person in client homes in the Newport, ME area, with pay of $17–$20 per hour. What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and hygiene
• support mobility and transfers
• perform care-related light housekeeping and laundry
• help with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan
• provide companionship
• observe and report changes or safety concerns
• complete documentation
• follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and emergency procedures.

Why this role

No experience is required and training and support are provided. An active Maine PSS certification is required, or the employee must be willing to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire; an active or inactive CNA is accepted. Flexible shifts may range from 2–40 hours per week.
