The technician installs, programs, tests, commissions, and troubleshoots fire detection and alarm systems, while supporting project compliance and customer satisfaction. The role also mentors apprentices and crew members, helping deliver reliable systems that meet applicable codes and project requirements.

What you'll do

• Commission fire detection and alarm projects
• participate in planning, design, and implementation
• test and inspect large fire alarm systems to applicable NFPA and local codes
• program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, including Notifier and Siemens
• complete project documentation
• research installation and material requirements
• ensure code compliance
• train apprentices and crew members.
