The Sales Lead role is onsite in Visalia, CA. Compensation is $18 per hour. The Salvation Army’s Visalia thrift store supports its Adult Rehabilitation Program, which assists people in completing rehabilitation. The Sales Lead partners with the Store Manager to run daily store operations and, when managers are absent, assumes responsibility for store operations. The role supports sales and service goals while helping create a positive, mentoring environment for program beneficiaries.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Store Manager on opening and closing, point-of-sale operations, inventory, merchandising, and donations
• oversee day-to-day operations when managers are absent
• monitor sales and profitability indicators
• schedule and coach employees when managers are absent
• support customer and donor satisfaction
• assist back-room processing
• supervise and report on beneficiaries’ work therapy assignments when applicable
• protect store cash, inventory, and property
• maintain safety and security procedures.
