The Strength and Conditioning Specialist — OHWS Program role is onsite in South Burlington, VT, at the Vermont Air National Guard Base; The specialist supports the Optimizing Human Weapon System Program for the Vermont Air National Guard. The role designs and implements individualized training to improve fighter aircrew strength, mobility, endurance, flexibility, and physical performance. Assessments, instruction, progress monitoring, and recovery support contribute to injury-risk reduction and operational readiness.

What you'll do

• Conduct baseline physical performance assessments
• develop individualized strength and conditioning programs
• instruct exercise techniques and equipment use
• modify plans based on injuries, limitations, and progress
• monitor performance and conditioning
• support pre-flight preparation and post-flight recovery
• maintain progress records
• educate participants on nutrition, recovery, sleep, and healthy lifestyle practices
• maintain a safe training environment.
