The Registered Nurse (RN) — Weekend Package role is onsite, providing home-based care throughout the Des Moines metro area from the West Des Moines, Iowa listing location. Pay is $45 per hour. BrightStar Care’s weekend nursing team provides skilled, one-on-one care to clients in their homes. The nurse performs skilled visits and assessments, manages medications, provides treatments and wound care, and coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and other team members. The role also develops and updates care plans and maintains timely clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Provide skilled nursing assessments and visits in clients’ homes
• set up and manage medications
• provide infusions, injections, and wound care
• perform G-tube, tracheostomy, catheter, and ostomy care as needed
• conduct admissions and assessments
• develop and update plans of care
• educate patients and families
• coordinate with physicians and care-team members
• complete clinical documentation.
