What you'll do

• Prepare and issue purchase orders for complex or specialized parts
• coordinate product specifications with Engineering and Design
• prepare requests for quotation and enter information into the MRP system
• select supply sources based on quotations, delivery schedules, and vendor quality
• qualify new vendors
• resolve material and delivery issues with vendors
• maintain product knowledge and vendor relationships
• report vendor performance
• mentor less experienced buyers
• review Supply Chain metrics.
