Job overview

The Engineering Lead, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) role is onsite in Pleasanton, CA, with reporting to the office five days per week. Pay is $160,000–$220,000 per year. Avathon develops an Industrial AI autonomy platform for customers in heavy industries, including energy, mining, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and logistics. The lead owns technical delivery of PLM integrations and related AI capabilities, connecting customer engineering systems to Avathon’s platform. The role combines hands-on coding and architecture with team leadership to deliver reusable product-structure, engineering-change, and digital-thread features through customer deployment and support.

What you'll do

• Design integrations for customer PLM systems and build connectors and data pipelines from PLM, CAD/PDM, ERP, and MES sources. Define canonical product data models and standards for data quality, synchronization, and reconciliation. Model product structures and engineering changes in the Computational Knowledge Graph
• build backend services for BOM comparison, change impact, and clear-to-build views. Lead customer discovery, implementation, go-live, and hypercare
• run technical sessions
• own readiness testing and reviews
• review designs and code
• mentor engineers
• and coordinate with product, design, and customer success.
