Lead Dietitian

The Lead Dietitian role is onsite in Wilmington, MA, with compensation not specified. Encompass Health is a national inpatient rehabilitation provider focused on enhancing the well-being of patients in the communities it serves. The dietitian assesses patients’ nutritional needs, develops and implements dietary plans, and provides nutrition education, including post-discharge diet instruction. The role contributes to patient care by monitoring nutritional status and coordinating nutrition plans with physicians and other care disciplines.

What you'll do

• Counsel patients according to physician orders and diet instructions
• communicate with physicians and other care disciplines
• evaluate referral orders and nutrition intake methods
• document pertinent information in medical records
• implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, and assist with special dietary needs
• conduct calorie counts and make recommendations
• review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.

Why this role

Requires registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and state licensure, plus a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food and Nutrition. One year of clinical dietetics experience and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership are preferred.
