Senior UX Motion and Interaction Designer

Job overview

The Senior UX Motion and Interaction Designer role is in Charlotte, NC, with a base pay range of $85,000–$150,000 per year. The position is eligible for an annual incentive plan. The role helps establish Ally’s motion design practice within UX and shape motion across its digital customer experiences. The designer develops and prototypes motion and interaction patterns, creates production-ready assets, and partners with UX designers and developers to bring concepts into digital products. The work builds reusable standards that support accessible, engaging, and consistent experiences across Ally’s digital ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Explore and prototype interactions, transitions, micro-interactions, and motion concepts.
• Create production-ready motion assets using tools such as Lottie and Rive.
• Partner with UX designers to define interaction behaviors, state changes, and feedback patterns.
• Provide developers with visual guidance, specifications, and references for implementation.
• Build reusable patterns and standards and identify opportunities for motion to improve usability and brand expression.
