The Pre-K Assistant Teacher — Afternoon Schedule role is onsite at Faithful Shepherd’s Discovery Center in Eagan, MN. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour, based on education and experience. Lake Area Discovery Center partners with churches and schools to provide early childhood education from infancy through Pre-K. The assistant teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher and teaching team to support children during the afternoon portion of the school day. The role helps maintain a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom and supports learning activities, play, transitions, and end-of-day routines.

What you'll do

• Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine
• engage children in learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions
• support a positive classroom environment
• assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines
• maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
• collaborate with teachers and onsite staff
• follow childcare licensing requirements.
