Hospice Music Therapist

The Hospice Music Therapist role is an onsite, on-the-road position based in Bloomington, MN. Compensation is $28–$32 per hour. Moments Hospice describes music therapy as a way to alleviate symptoms and support comfort for patients and their families. The therapist leads individualized music therapy interventions to help reduce symptoms such as anxiety, depression, isolation, and agitation. The role also educates the clinical team about music therapy and maintains timely clinical and coordination records to support hospice care.

What you'll do

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions
• use music to reduce symptoms including anxiety, depression, isolation, and agitation
• educate the clinical team on appropriateness and contraindications
• maintain clinical notes, charts, and coordination notes within 24 hours of sessions and update them as needed.
