Auto Body Technician

The Auto Body Technician is an onsite role based in Aurora, IL, with compensation ranging from $60,000 to $180,000 per year. This position supports the collision and glass services department at Gerber Collision & Glass, contributing to the company's mission of providing elite infrastructure and customer excellence. The role exists to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition through meticulous assessment and quality repair. The technician is responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembles vehicles while maintaining high standards of speed and quality to meet facility KPIs.

What you'll do

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins.
• Realign car chassis and frames.
• Remove and replace damaged sections and parts.
• Repair or replace glass and windshields.
• Weld and attach parts.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles after repair.
