The pharmacist provides clinical and cost-containment insight for medical-only accounts, supporting client satisfaction and retention. The role reviews pharmacy benefit management formularies, prior authorization protocols, drug utilization, financial reporting, and related programs, while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

What you'll do

  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • advise on legislative, legal, and industry requirements for PBM practices
  • review, edit, maintain, or create formularies, prior authorization protocols, MAC lists, drug utilization and financial reporting protocols, and rebate contracts
  • determine clinical dispositions for prior authorization requests
  • support client retention, renewals, and satisfaction
  • evaluate drug utilization and provide clinical and financial insights
  • advise on pharmacy provider contracting when required
  • support manufacturer savings, patient assistance, and copay assistance programs
  • facilitate claim migration and international drug sourcing for clients using that strategy
  • support account reviews, new business implementations, CRM activity, and cross-functional initiatives.

Why this role

Requires a current pharmacy license in good standing and 5–7+ years of pharmacy experience in PBM or managed care. A bachelor's degree or PharmD from an accredited U.S. school of pharmacy is preferred. Travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
