What you'll do

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, contracts, memoranda, and opinions
• assist the Law Director with hearings, trials, negotiations, and proceedings
• prepare, review, and advise on agreements and contracts
• represent the City in litigation and administrative proceedings
• advise departments on ARPA funding, employment law, contracts, and other municipal matters
• attend City Council or other official meetings as needed
• collaborate with departments, officials, and external counsel
• maintain organized legal files
• monitor relevant laws and court decisions.
