The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Parsippany, NJ, for 24 hours per week, with shifts Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Pay is $20.49 per hour Monday through Friday and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning 11:00 PM Friday through 11:00 PM Sunday. Catholic Charities’ Department for Persons with Disabilities provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes. The professional supports residents’ health, safety, and welfare through personal care, daily living activities, medication assistance, transportation, and documentation. The role also helps residents participate in community activities and supports their daily routines.

What you'll do

• Assist or supervise residents with bathing, toileting, cleaning, cooking, and life skills
• administer or assist with medication
• communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and residents
• drive residents to and from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles
• document services provided
• assist with community-based activities.
