Medicare/Managed Billing Specialist

What you'll do

• Verify patient eligibility when needed
• review and balance the daily census with the facility Business Office Manager
• prepare and review claims for accuracy and completeness and resolve discrepancies
• bill primary and secondary Medicare and managed-care payors
• track claim status and resolve rejections daily
• work Medicare/Managed Aging daily
• participate in month-end close
• identify billing trends and carrier issues
• keep current on Medicare and insurance billing practices.
