The Direct Support Professional — Day Habilitation position is onsite in Rome, NY. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Compensation is $17.50 per hour. The Arc Oneida-Lewis provides services and advocacy for people with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities and their families. The professional supports individuals in the Day Habilitation Program by implementing their LIFEPlan or Day Habilitation Plan, promoting choices and preferences, and providing direct care, training, and supervision. The role also supports community participation and daily living needs while reporting concerns to the appropriate team member.

What you'll do

• Promote individuals’ choices and preferences
• support meaningful community experiences
• provide transportation for outings using agency vehicles under established policies
• assist with activities of daily living, including toileting, eating, and ambulation
• report responses, symptoms, and concerns
• and maintain program areas and supplies.
