Senior Security Engineer

The Senior Security Engineer role is onsite in Dallas, TX. Compensation is $115,000–$160,000 per year. The role supports East West Bank’s corporate-wide information security program and protection of organizational information assets. The engineer builds and improves security monitoring and data-protection capabilities to support incident detection, response, forensic investigations, and risk management. Working with IT, compliance, application, and business teams, the role helps ensure security controls and logging practices are reliable and aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain logging infrastructure for SIEM and Security Operations
• monitor SIEM performance and tune rules
• investigate security incidents and lead response efforts as applicable
• analyze security logs and events
• report SIEM status, metrics, and incident trends
• support data classification, labeling, DLP policy tuning, alert triage, data discovery, and security metrics
• ensure logging standards meet compliance requirements
• collaborate on log retention, access controls, masking, and encryption policies
• work with application developers and system owners on log generation and forwarding
• assist teams in optimizing SIEM capabilities and workflows.
