The Platemaker role is onsite in Durham, NC; the stated salary range is $19–$26.29 per hour. The position supports RRD’s print and packaging production services. The role prepares lithographic and/or flexographic plates from digital files for press production. It combines file review and page layout with equipment operation, plate quality checks, documentation, and basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Operate plate-making, bending/tabbing, and shearing equipment
• impose images and create flexographic and/or lithographic plates
• review plates for defects
• maintain production documentation and materials inventory as needed
• review client electronic files for completeness
• use page-layout software to prepare print jobs
• prepare color proofs when needed
• perform quality checks and basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
