What you'll do

  • Monitor sea turtle nesting behavior on Broward County beaches under program supervision.
  • Depending on experience, check nest cages at night, assist disoriented hatchlings, locate and mark nests or false crawls, relocate imperiled nests, excavate nests and assess hatching success, maintain restraining cages, monitor nesting activity related to beach nourishment, assess hatchling disorientation, and collect and enter monitoring data.
  • Training or supervising new beach staff may be included.
