Cybersecurity Engineer (Splunk)

The Cybersecurity Engineer (Splunk) role is onsite in Columbus, OH or Richmond, VA; compensation is not specified. The full-time position supports the Defense Logistics Agency through Horizon Industries’ IT and management consulting services and requires an active Top Secret clearance. The engineer analyzes security requirements and threat information, supports information-system security engineering, and develops Splunk Enterprise Security dashboards, rules, reports, and monitoring tools. The role also maintains the Splunk Enterprise Log Management architecture and provides analysis and recommendations to support incident handlers and information assurance managers.

What you'll do

• Analyze information security requirements and threat data from logs, intrusion detection systems, intelligence reports, and other sources
• support security planning, design, development, testing, and integration
• create Splunk ES dashboards, rules, reports, monitors, channels, trends, and use cases
• administer and maintain Splunk ES and backend infrastructure
• research, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and back up DLA Splunk ELM components
• provide analysis and recommendations to incident handlers and information assurance managers.
