What you'll do

• Set up, operate, and tend CNC metalworking and cutting equipment, bar-feed machines, or robots
• mount and align tools and workpieces
• review programs and blueprints
• select tools and materials
• calculate speeds, feeds, and cuts
• monitor and adjust machine operations
• perform preventive maintenance
• inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
• document production data and required records
• and communicate with manufacturing and engineering teams.
