What you'll do

• Examine building permit applications, blueprints, specifications, surveys, product approvals, shop drawings, and related documents for code compliance
• provide written commentary on code violations
• prepare reports and notices of correction
• approve compliant permit applications
• meet with design professionals and contractors about technical code issues
• maintain records and reports
• inspect buildings and facilities as required. Some travel may be required for inspections or project management.
