What you'll do

• Draft and negotiate power purchase, equipment and materials, construction, IT/SaaS, HR/benefits, engineering, and professional services agreements
• review contracts and provide practical risk-based advice
• support wholesale power supply, resource procurement, RFPs, and energy initiatives
• advise on agreements involving NYISO tariffs
• manage contract administration, change orders, disputes, and pre-litigation claims
• support litigation, arbitration, and mediation
• update contract templates and manage legal deadlines.

Why this role

Requires a Juris Doctor, at least five years of commercial contract negotiation experience, and a law license in New York or another relevant jurisdiction with ability to become licensed in New York. Department of Energy regulation 10 CFR 810 compliance is required.
