The Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Mid-Level role is onsite in Washington, DC, with an annual salary range of $120,000–$135,000. The position supports Agile Defense’s FBI ISSO/ISSE Program Management work and requires an active Top Secret clearance. The ISSO helps establish and apply a consistent methodology for categorizing FBI information technology systems according to security, operational and mission factors. The work supports defensible system groupings, security compliance, risk management, labor mapping and reporting across the program.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain a documented methodology for categorizing FBI IT systems
• apply it to assigned systems
• align the methodology with FIPS-199, NIST RMF, CNSS policies and FBI directives
• analyze systems by risk, operational impact and security posture
• document grouping decisions and support allocation
• coordinate with program leadership and reviewers
• provide labor allocation and cost-recovery reporting inputs
• support monthly reports, ATO lifecycle activities, POA&M tracking, risk assessments, compliance documentation and audit readiness as needed.

Why this role

Requires an active Top Secret clearance, five or more years of relevant federal cybersecurity or information assurance experience, and one listed certification: SecurityX/CASP+, CCISO, CCSP, CGRC/CAP, Cloud+, GSEC, Security+ or SSCP. FBI, DOJ, intelligence community, classified systems, Azure and AWS experience are preferred.
