What you'll do

• Prepare and dispense outpatient and inpatient medications
• counsel patients
• review patient profiles for allergies, interactions, duplications, age-specific considerations, and dosing
• enter and verify medication orders
• review and dispense IV admixtures, including TPN and chemotherapy preparations
• review laboratory values and contact prescribers when adjustments are needed
• document chemotherapy waste and controlled substances
• supervise pharmacy technicians
• provide drug therapy education
• monitor medication inventory
• participate in interdisciplinary teams as requested.
