Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is onsite in Canandaigua, New York. Pay is $19.29–$20.54 per hour, with a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. schedule. The role supports The Arc Ontario's Finance Department and its agency operations. The specialist maintains the accounts payable system and performs accurate, confidential clerical and bookkeeping work. The role processes requisitions, invoices, disbursements, checks, and electronic payments, resolves discrepancies, maintains vendor and tax records, and supports timely financial reporting and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Review requisitions for approvals and supporting documentation
• create vouchers and assign expense distributions
• match invoices to purchase orders and requisitions
• maintain the accounts payable system
• process disbursements and weekly checks
• track electronic payments
• manage vendor invoices and discrepancies
• maintain tax data and petty cash records
• update procedural instructions.
