The Senior Licensed Surveyor — New Mexico State Lead role is onsite in Albuquerque, NM, with an annual salary of $160,000–$215,000. The surveyor joins Horrocks’ growing survey group, which works on large, multidisciplinary projects serving communities. The role leads and manages survey projects and staff while performing boundary, design-support, and construction-surveying work. It contributes to land development and transportation projects by producing and checking survey information, property boundaries, and construction staking data.

What you'll do

  • Apply field techniques for boundary retracement, design support, and construction surveying
  • manage multiple projects and staff
  • retrace and create property boundaries for roads, pipelines, facility sites, rights of way, and easements
  • collect source maps, prior survey data, photographs, records, and documents
  • compile survey computations and assess data adequacy
  • prepare information for construction staking using design plans.

Why this role

Requires a New Mexico Professional Land Surveyor license or the ability to become licensed in the state within one year of employment. Land development and transportation experience is required; municipal project experience is a plus.
