Industrial/Automotive Painter — 2nd Shift

The Industrial/Automotive Painter role is onsite in Dixon, IL, on a second-shift schedule of 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, with voluntary overtime. Pay is $24–$29.25 per hour. Hughes Recruiting & Consulting is recruiting for a customer in Dixon seeking painters for truck equipment and manufactured products. The painter prepares, coats, and finishes parts and equipment to meet production requirements and desired finish standards. Careful setup, safe work practices, and final inspection support consistent finished products and an organized production area.

What you'll do

• Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines
• paint truck equipment and manufactured parts using an air spray system
• prepare parts using thinner, an air blower, or sandblasting as needed
• set up equipment, mix paint, and adjust equipment
• manage drying and storage
• maintain the work area and supplies
• inspect finished work and complete paperwork
• assist coworkers as requested.

Why this role
