What you'll do

• Evaluate supplier prices, specifications, and delivery dates
• award bids and place orders
• prepare purchasing documentation and verify requisitions
• develop suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements
• support supplier rationalization and transitions
• negotiate commercial agreements
• lead or support cost-reduction initiatives
• maintain purchase orders in the MRP system
• balance demand with supplier capacity
• analyze supply-chain data and supplier performance.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience, is required. Supply chain certification is highly desirable. Direct sourcing or purchasing experience with raw materials such as round bar and sheet metal is required.
